Over 40 cars, 35 of them classics and 1 biker (Brian black Vitesse) braved the cold to do a 70 mile run in the beautiful Derbyshire country side. Stopping half way round for a spot of lunch. Everybody said they enjoyed themselves and the good news is that we raised £240 for the Air Ambulance our chosen charity for 2009.

At Tuesday night’s meeting numbers was a little down but it did not stop us from having fun. This month’s quiz had a French connection where by you had to match a list of English’s name for car parts, with the French translation. It proved very difficult for the most of us but Mike Mayfield won with the top score of 9 out of 35. We also had time to do our very own version of family fortunes. Men against the Ladies. It turns out the ladies are better than the Derwent men and gave them a good thrashing winning 9-2.
Bye for Now ~ Roger.

Other news, a new member Steve Bird of Mansfield a proud owner of working project of a TR6 joined us for the first time and promises to be a regular visitor.
