were seen on Sunday May 31st at Wollaton Park’s Austin 7 show. Although they were hot under the collar, a spokesman said "Most of them were behaving, but they did take over a parking area reserved for a rival club".

The 20 car strong group spent the rest of the day eating a drinking under cover of 3 gazebos without further incident. They apparently sent out scouting parties in search of car parts but all they came back with was tombola prizes, bacon cobs, ice creams and the odd pint of cool refreshing beer.

A few days later on Tuesday night at around 7:00pm the group met again at a secret location at near Smalley Common in Derbyshire. One eye witness said “They preformed a strange ritual with raffle tickets, and then they quickly got into their cars and raced off in a convoy reaching speeds of 29mph. There was at least 20 of them.”

The convoy was reported driving through the village of Denby only to turn around and drive back through the village in the opposite direction a few minutes later. We received news of further sightings in Heage, Holloway and Cromford.

One of the ring leaders was identified as Mr M Mayfield of Radcliffe on Trent who drove a cursed Dolomite Chariot breathing smoke and fire going up a slight hill. He then dumped it in the market place of the beautiful village of Crich. [Cry-ch]. A local gentleman walking his dog said “I saw this old orange car driving towards me. It sounded like someone was shaking a bag of nuts and bolts. The driver had a strange look in his eyes, he got out of the car and started to do a voodoo dance. I did not hang around for long as more old cars were starting to arrive. The brown one which looked like a Sprint was very frightening”. Another villager noticed strange orange lights in the sky at around midnight and in the morning the orange car had vanished.

The convoy was last seen arriving at Matlock Bath where 3 more classic cars joined them. Yet again they ended the night with the offering of food to their gods at a fish and chip shop. This was topped off with ice cream and washed down with a strange local Sheep based drink at the Fishpond…and now for the weather. There will be sunny spells with some cloud later and it might rain or it might not.

One thing is for sure there will be meeting full of fun next month (7th July) and its a treasure hunt. Meet at Smalley Common at the earlier time of 7pm for a staggered start.
